Quilt Shoppe
There is a local quilt shoppe that I absolutely adore. An old farmhouse turned into a fabric shop. A roomy classroom has been added on for quilting classes. (Which I also adore.)

A cozy kitchen for eating potluck lunches.

A whole room full of Civil War fabrics. The row of pinks is my favorite.

Fat quarters, cutting table, and *always* lots of pleasant chatter.

30's reproductions. *love*

How to choose?

I love these greens!

...and these pinks!

Pink Decorations

Cut out hearts, from felt, and sew them all together to make a lovely garland. You could use different shapes for different holidays.

I also made a garland to hand around our light fixture- and gluing candy canes together makes perfect hearts!

Paper Piecing
I have never tried paper piecing, but I liked this idea at a little gift shop we recently stopped at.

Instead of using freezer paper to back quilt pieces, this lady used
old letters. It was so clever!

Bringing Back the 70's, One Wrap Skirt at a Time
Because the previous wrap skirt I made requires you to make your own pattern, using your own measurements, I decide to make one to fit an 18 inch doll.

The fabric I used is actually from the 70's which makes it ultra cool. What makes it even cooler, is that the fabric belonged to my grandmother.

It fits perfectly, and was easy to make.

I think I'll be making several more in the near future.

And after having a fun photo shoot with my own doll, the skirt was given to Abigail. She was thrilled.
