Bunting

With extra triangles from her quilt, Lis made this bunting with ribbon and hot glue. It'll look pretty charming in her apartment.

Half Square Triangles

I'm helping my friend Elisabeth make her very first quilt, and I think that it is going to be absolutely gorgeous.

Wedding Quilt

My friend Anna is getting married next summer, and that means that I'm making her and Morgan a wedding quilt. With my levels of procrastination, I need to start working on it *now.* I have the first step out of the way- picking colors, fabrics, and a pattern. They'll be receiving a queen sized Take 5 quilt in browns, blues and yellows.

Take 5

In January, I finally experienced the joy of finishing my first quilt. I used to Take 5 pattern- you are supposed to choose *5* fabrics that you like, and have a nice, orderly quilt. I broke the rules. I kept finding more and more fabrics that I liked, so finally I decided, "Heck with being orderly! I'm using all of these!"

I used a striped homespun for the binding, cutting it on the bias, to make it diagonal.
I rather like it!

Gone Fishing.

My 3 year old friend wanted to go fishing, so we quickly whipped up these little fellas in his favorite color. Tie yarn onto a stick and you're good to go!

Quilt Shoppe

There is a local quilt shoppe that I absolutely adore. An old farmhouse turned into a fabric shop. A roomy classroom has been added on for quilting classes. (Which I also adore.)

A cozy kitchen for eating potluck lunches.
A whole room full of Civil War fabrics. The row of pinks is my favorite.
Fat quarters, cutting table, and *always* lots of pleasant chatter.
30's reproductions. *love*
How to choose?
I love these greens!
...and these pinks!

Black and White with a Splash

I walked into the library the other day, and was pleasantly surprised to see a display of quilts. I snapped the pictures quickly on my iPod, but they give you a bit of an idea!
