A Field Trip

My homeschool group recently took a field trip to a llama farm. It was a lot of fun, and I was excited to see some homemade and creative things for sale as well.

The lady giving our tour showed us how to spin yarn out of fleece. We also learned that FLEECE comes from llama while WOOL comes from sheep.
It was interesting to see the spinning wheel working!

She sells homespun yarn. It was so pretty, and it felt nice too!

But its expensive!! $17 for about 12 feet of it. I didn't buy any =)

She also sold knitted and crocheted items, and homemade soap, lip balm, and lotion.

And of course, the llamas were cute.

But I thought that the Alpacas were cuter!

Oh, so cute!
Actually Joy Michelle and I were just having a conversation about llamas on her blog, September Socks. You may have seen her on my blog before.
Looks like a great field trip!
